Where Portland Gathers for Comfort Food 

Fall in Portland always feels familiar. The days get shorter, routines return, and the sounds of Friday night lights and post-practice chatter fill the air. For families and fans of the Bulldogs, Rams, and Stags, that rhythm of the season often ends at Bruno’s, where comfort comes in a few different forms.

This fall, we’re sharing a few of our staff favorites for comfort food — the dishes we look forward to when the air turns cold and we want something hearty and familiar. In the dining room, it’s chicken parm, rigatoni vodka, and crab stuffed haddock, each one a classic that’s been loved for years.

In the tavern, comfort means something a little more casual. Bruno Burgers, steak and cheese subs, and our classic pizza are the go-tos after a long week or a late game.

And when it’s time to bring everyone together, our banquet room has hosted everything from team dinners to family celebrations.

After all these years, not much has changed, and that’s exactly how we like it. Bruno’s is still family run, still full of familiar faces, and still serving the comfort food that brings Portland together.
