April is one of the best months of the year for sports fans in New England, and the tavern at Bruno’s is the place to take it all in. Between baseball, golf, and the start of playoff season, there’s something worth watching just about every night. Here’s what’s coming up.
Red Sox Baseball Is Back
Opening Day kicks off the month, and from there it’s baseball every week through the spring and summer. There’s something about the start of a new Red Sox season that just feels right. The cold is starting to break, the days are getting longer, and you can finally sit down with a cold drink and watch nine innings without thinking about snow.
The tavern has every game on the screens, so whether you’re catching the first pitch after work or settling in for a Saturday afternoon game, we’ve got you covered. Grab a seat at the bar, order some food, and let the season begin.
The Masters at Augusta
The Masters falls in the second week of April every year, and it’s one of those events that’s made for watching with a cold drink and good food. The pace is different from other sports. You can settle in, watch the leaderboard shift, and actually hold a conversation between shots.
We’re open for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday rounds, and every one of them will be on in the tavern. Golf might not be the first thing you think of when you think of a tavern, but trust us, it works.
Playoff Basketball and Hockey
By late April, the NBA and NHL playoffs are underway. The regular season is over, every game matters, and the energy picks up. Whether you’re following the Celtics, the Bruins, or both, the tavern gets a little louder this time of year, and that’s a good thing.
We’ve got every screen locked in on the action, and the full menu and bar are ready to keep you through overtime.
The Tavern Is the Spot
We’ve been part of Portland for over 45 years, and the tavern side of Bruno’s has always been just as important as the dining room. It’s where people come to watch the game, catch up with friends, and enjoy good food without any fuss. That’s what April looks like at Bruno’s.
Stop by any Tuesday through Saturday and see for yourself. We’re at 33 Allen Ave. in Portland, and you can always call ahead at (207) 878-9511.
